Privacy

Short, because there is not much to say. This site runs no analytics, sets no advertising cookies, and has nothing to sell about you.

What we do not collect

There is no analytics on this site. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no PostHog, no Segment, no Vercel Analytics, no advertising pixel and no session recorder. We do not know how many people visit, which pages they read, or where they came from — beyond whatever our host records to serve the page at all.

The one thing we count is how the phone app is used: each day, how many times it was installed, how many times it was opened from a home screen, and how many people saw, used or closed the “Get NaanStopDeals on your phone” banner. These are daily totals and nothing else — no IP address, account, device or page is recorded with them, so they cannot be traced to you or tell one visitor from another.

We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not hold anything worth selling and have no arrangement with anyone who would buy it.

Cookies

This site sets three cookies, and all three are functional:

  • nsd-corridor — the city you chose, so the site opens on it next time. Set only when you pick one.
  • nsd-data-mode — whether you are looking at live deals or the sample data, for the Live/Mock switch. Set only when you use it.
  • Session cookies (sb-…) — set by Supabase, our authentication provider, only if you sign in. They are what keep you signed in.

None of them track you across other sites. Clearing them signs you out and forgets your city, and nothing else.

Your approximate location

To show deals near you, the site asks our server for your rough area — the town your internet connection appears to come from, worked out by our host from your IP address. We never ask your browser for your precise location, and we do not store the answer: your browser keeps it (in local storage, as nsd-near) so it is not looked up on every page. When you choose the deals near you on the home page, it also remembers that choice (as nsd-top-scope), and asks our server for the top deals around that rough area, which we do not keep.

You can change it to a ZIP code or one of our cities, or clear it, from the location menu. A ZIP you type is used to find that area and is not kept by us.

If you create an account

We store your email address, and either a hashed password or the fact that you signed in with Google. Passwords are never stored in a form we can read. Authentication is handled by Supabase, who process it on our behalf.

Signing in with Google tells us your email address and nothing else — we request only the email and profile scopes, and we never receive your Google password.

If you submit a deal

The form asks for a contact email so we can follow up on what you sent, and optionally your name and phone number. We keep those with the submission, use them to check the deal, and email you about that submission — a confirmation when it arrives and a note when it goes live. Submitting a deal does not sign you up for anything else.

The deal itself — the restaurant, price, dates and description — becomes public if we publish it. Your contact details do not.

The daily email

If you have an account you can turn on a daily digest of new deals. It is off unless you switch it on, it is the only email we send other than the submission notes above, and every one carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works without signing in.

Turning it on stores three things against your account: that it is on, which city you chose, and any cuisines you narrowed it to. You can change or clear those at your account at any time, and turning it off stops the mail immediately.

Notifications on your phone

You can also get the daily deals as a notification on your phone or in your browser, with or without an account. It is off unless you switch it on, your device asks your permission first, and we send at most one a day, only when your city has new deals.

Turning it on stores, on our side: the address your browser’s push service gives us for your device (Google’s, Apple’s or Mozilla’s, depending on your browser), the encryption keys that go with it, the city you chose, and your account if you were signed in. Notifications are encrypted so that the push service carries them without being able to read them. Your phone also remembers which city you picked, so the switch can show it.

Turn it off on the same switch, at the subscribe page or in your account, and we delete that record immediately. Blocking notifications for this site in your phone’s settings works too: the push service tells us the address is gone and we delete it on our next send.

Stored on your device

To load faster and to show a page when you are offline, the site keeps copies of its own scripts, styles and images in your browser. It never stores pages with your account details in them. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes all of it.

What you can ask for

Email info@naanstopdeals.ai and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it and your account. Deleting your account removes your sign-in details; deals already published stay up, because they are facts about a restaurant rather than about you.

Other people's sites

Every deal links out to a merchant — Groupon, or the restaurant’s own site. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site under their policy, not ours. See Terms for what that means for the deal itself.

NaanStopDeals is operated by NaanStopDeals LLC. These pages are written in plain English rather than by a lawyer. They describe honestly how the site actually works. If anything here matters to you and is unclear, ask us at info@naanstopdeals.ai.
